


Screen is unlocked, have also tried switching default between Messenger and Hangouts Reinstalled a few times and have never been asked I have Google Voice for voicemails but I have never used it for SMS. I tried Messenger, Hangouts, the default SMS app, and Textra, and it made no difference. This did not work for me (keeping the screen on). I tried it with the app open and the screen on, still no go. OK, I tried this and it did not make a difference. I have been trying to get Pushbullet to work on my phone with SMS literally for months, so I should be somewhat useful :) Please note that all other functions of Pushbullet work just fine for me. If so, that is probably the issue. If you’re using TextSecure as your default SMS app, SMS sync will not work. A safe one to try is Messenger from Google. This can be fixed by switching your default SMS app to something other than the one that came on your phone. Try sending a text with your phone unlocked to see if it helps. Some (very few) devices don’t let us send texts when the screen is locked. This is confirmed to happen on some LG devices and some Samsung Galaxy S5s. If you don’t remember what you selected, reinstalling our app should get it to ask you again. Make sure to let us send texts when asked (they only ask once). Some devices will ask you if you want to allow Pushbullet send text messages when you attempt to send the first one from your computer. If that doesn't help, to be even more thorough, try sending a text from your computer with the Pushbullet Android app open on your phone. To check this, try sending a text from your computer after switching to your data connection (and confirming you have internet still). Something about your WiFi may be blocking our messages to your phone. The actual code in our app to send SMS is super simple, so the problem is somewhere between us sending the message from your computer to your phone, or between us asking for the text to be sent and the message actually getting sent.
